Jan Feb or March? What are the best months to sell your car

There are certain times in a year, month or week when you should purchase certain goods. Car is also one of them. Usually companies when selling new cars give some promotional offer during the weekend. Another time when there is high sale of cars is during festivals. In India usually the companies provide some kind of discount and in those two or three days there is huge rush. The same goes for used cars but here the dealers are even smarter. They do not advertise the offers but one has to negotiate well with them for the used car prices.

For buying used car, one should not go to the dealers in the weekend, in the beginning or mid month and also in the beginning or mid of the year.

Similarly if you go to the dealer in the month end to buy a used car you will be able to better bargain with the used car prices. These dealers have a deadline that in one month the will be selling a particular number of cars and usually the number is high and they cannot meet it always. So if you go in the month end days then you can get a better deal as he will be willing to sell the used car at your price then or at the least close to your price. If you go to the dealer around the end of the year, like around the months October, November and December you will be able to better negotiate with the price than the other months. Just like before the dealers have the deadline to meet, the number of sales they do in a year and they will be more willing to sell the car at a negotiable price than the other months. They are also willing to clear out the stock and get new stock in the beginning of the year.
If you go to a dealer during the weekend for buying a used car, then there is quite a lot of rush for buying. Statistics have shown that in India used cars are sold more than new cars and thus the time when you go  to buy the car and there is quite a lot of rush then the dealer will bargain much and will stick to his price. It is considered that Monday is a slow day for business because whatever sale they have on the weekend days like Friday, Saturday and also Sunday they calculate them on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday are the perfect days to go to a dealer to buy used car. Business is considered to be slow on the beginning of the week and especially on those two days and if you go to the dealer for buying the used car you will be able to get a better bargain.

Thus the time to go to a dealer for buying used car is the beginning of the week, end of the month and end of the year. Instead of January one should go around March April then one cans trike a better deal with the dealer.

Best used cars in Mumbai

Mumbai being a metropolitan city is always crowded. The crowd and the entire population of Mumbai depend upon the public transportation for its daily travel purposes. It is often seen that the public transports get so packed up that even people lose their lives in the rush. Travelling by convenient transportation can also be an issue sometimes as the cost of travelling is very high. To curb all these circumstances there is a huge demand for second hand cars in the city of Mumbai.  You can never get enough of the vehicles that are in demand in the city.

Always buying a new car is not an appropriate option for each and everybody. People tend to have low income and to manage the cost they often go for second hand or used cars. The only reason why used cars are in demand is that the cost of buying a used car is much less than that of a new one.  Not only is the cost but there many other factors that add up to the cost when you decide to buy a new car. The insurance policies, the different tax issues are the extra added expenses that you need to pay when you are buying a new car.

But the moment you switch to a used car issue all you expenses are dropped by more than 80 percent of the original dime. And in a city with crowded functions often carrying out a new car is difficult. You have to take good care of the car and keep it well maintained all the time. This is a very difficult situation when you have to travel each and every day. So when you are buying a used car this particular stress of yours is mutilated by the fact that there are already few scratches on the car and you have nothing to worry about if you get a few more.

There are a variety of car models which have attained the height of popularity in the city of Mumbai. Small families opt for the Maruti Alto which can be seen in plenty in and around the city. Then you have the Maruti Suzuki Swift which is another very popular car of Mumbai and is very much seen driven by the youth basically. Other cars like the Skoda Fabia, Chevrolet Beat, Honda Civic are also among the popular models in Mumbai.

You can also get your hands on certified used cars if you are willing to pay a little more than the required. Certified used cars can assure you of the warranty of the car and other mechanisms. Your car is in a first class working condition if you have a certified one. Many dealerships participate in this certification to make sure you get the value of your money and do not end up investing in a dead machine. So if you are looking for used cars in Mumbai then all these above options are very convenient for you.

How to decide the right sale price for your used car

Finalizing the decision to sell a used car is influenced by a number of factors. The most important confusion which creeps up in mind is to decide the right price of the car. There is a risk associated while deciding the price. If you overprice the car it is very difficult to find a prospective buyer for the car. On the other hand there is the fear of monetary loss if you undersell your vehicle. The best way to decide the right price is to evaluate the used car on a number of parameters.

The price of the car when it was newly purchased is a very important factor which influences the price for used cars. The usage, the distance travelled by the car or in other word the number of kilometres the car has travelled and the condition of the car. With increasing age the increase in the usage and the distance travelled is quite natural. And so the price decreases.

Another very important factor which determines the price is the fuel efficiency it provides. The quality of the fuel used, the maintenance of the engine oils which affect the brakes, the clutch, and the overall drive-abilities are very important. used cars having higher fuel efficiency are going to have a higher value.

Age of the car is a very important aspect which decides the resale value. With increasing age the resale value of the car undergoes depreciation. Day after day the automobile companies are coming up with new models. So the older the car becomes, the more outdated becomes the model. The age of the car also influences its drive-abilities.
